The 22nd International
Exhibition-Fair "AGRO 2010",
the Ukraine’s largest and most important trade
fair for agriculture, was held from June 15 to 19
on the territory of the National Exhibition Center
of Ukraine “Expocentre of Ukraine”.
The Exhibition was traditionally opened by the
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine
Mykola Prysyazhnyuk and the President of Ukraine
Viktor Yanukovych.
In the frame of AGRO 2010
were held the 9th specialized exhibition of animal
industries and veterinary medicine "Animal'EX",
the 7th exhibition of horse breeding and equestrian
sport "EquiWorld", the 5th specialized
exhibition "MushroomExpo", the 4th
specialized exhibition for fish farming and fishery
"FISHEXPO", and the 3rd specialized
exhibition for alternative and renewable energy "Biofuel".
The Special Exposition of New Farming Machinery Manufactured
by Companies of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of
Ukraine was organised at the AGRO for the second time.
Over 2,000 companies, associations
and research institutes presented the latest
innovations, products and technologies in the areas
of agricultural machinery, plant production, livestock
breeding, and bioenergy. Beside the Ukrainian participation,
over 200 companies from 24 countries have taken part
in AGRO 2010. At the end of the 5-days fair the exhibitors
were unanimous in reporting an extremely high number
of promising contacts and successful deals concluded.
The Exhibition attracted almost 500,000
visitors.
About 110 conferences, seminars
and meetings of agricultural themes were
presented by Ukrainian and foreign ministries, committees,
embassies, associations and companies during the AGRO
2010. Business

and most prestigious nation-wide event in agrarian sector
of economy of Ukraine.

Ukraine and Saudi Arabia enhance
cooperation in agriculture
Under the XXII International Agro-industrial Exhibition
"Agro-2010" in Kiev, negotiations between
first persons in agricultural sectors of Ukraine and
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took place. As a result
of negotiations the parties agreed to begin systematic
work in agriculture, and expressed intention to create
joint ventures and technology parks in the agricultural

Lindemann: Relations with the Ukraine are excellent
"The bilateral relations between the Ministry
for Agricultural Policy (MAP) of the Ukraine and
the Federal Ministry of Agriculture are excellent",
